Environment and Energy

For more than twenty years, the SPG-Rytz group has shown its keen interest in the environment. It can be seen both in our actions to reduce the Group’s ecological footprint and in the advice we give to our customers. We are working on improving the existing housing stock’s performance and we execute cutting-edge constructions in terms of energy saving. The creation of the Environment and Energy department in 2013, the appointment of an EPFL engineer to be in charge of both this hub and the implementation of an environmental strategy for the Group, confirm our commitment.

Our objective is clearly defined and applicable to both our service activities and our portfolio of buildings under management :

a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2020
compared to 2010

We encourage owners to implement ecologically-efficient  solutions by applying innovative methods and concepts and anticipating legal norms. Each contractor is therefore now invited to sign a commitment charter in favour of ecological construction as an integral part of the contract. With this in mind, we aim, for any new construction project, at a very high energy performance (THPE) standard, equivalent to Minergie P®;  and the Minergie®-Rénovation label for all substantial renovations.

In parallel with construction projects, we develop projects based on less technical ecological aspects, integrating socio-economic fundamentals. Speaking of which, Dardagny’s community orchard project, officially launched in September 2017 by State Councillor, Mr Luc Barthassat, is exemplary.
